Practicing Origami

Trust is akin to origami
One turn and cut in the wrong direction
And the original creation is destroyed
And the absolute best any artist can hope
Is that with loving touches
And careful turns
A new creation can emerge
And while it may never be a whooping crane
of delicate line and grace
call it a phoenix
Risen from the burnt ashes of trust
Resurrected by love
And the skill of a human heart.
