The Mirror's Secret

The Shadow's Story

The shadow knew the secret
Of the picture on the wall
Through the mirror's eye
The shadow cries their story to the night
A story of passion
Longing of love
The push and pull of time
Half man, half horse
Dark skin, eyes and hair
So strong, handsome
He holds her body
As though a lovers dance

Half woman, half horse
Creamy white skin and hair
Flows softly over her beauty
Her gesture pulls him with one hand
Pushes away with the other
Longing to stay, she yet slips away.
His strong arms held tightly
Never really letting go.
Though time stood still between them
Until she came back that day, dancing into his arms.
Then the mirror's shadow cried
And the picture became the mirror's love again.
