Stolen Heart
Shocked to tears
but the surprise should have seemingly been obvious
as the fears this last year crept in
and the toll of distant separation layed its weary head
upon the death of matrimony.
Newfound love was her only answer
to the multitude of tearful questions
and the pain of causing pain
tore a new whole in her heart.
He'll survive,
we all do
but I can't help but feel for the man
who just lost his life
his beautiful wife
to me.
