Spent many nights
Looking at you.
Many mirrors,
Stared back at me.
A blackness surrounding,
What the hell was I thinking?

Somebody pointed out,
Something I took to heart.
And now I am thinking,
About a different road.
Why did I start?
How can I finish.
This isn’t love.
But it isn’t something I can let go of.
Wishes wasted,
Alas, it’s gone.
