Ginger Snaps
Hello there my sweet gingerman,
this is no time for quaking
It seems that I just woke you up,
whil I was tried my hand at baking.
Now I put a lot of spices in,
and shaped you , you could tell,
nothing bland about ginger men
as you know very well.
I mixed you sweet and sticky
then rolled you with a pin,
and mercy me,
I took you out
far tastier then you went in.
But you see, I made some frosting
to dress your special places,
and used some sugar candy
to make smiles for the faces.
Now hold still while I dress you
with festive shades of cream
and pipe some sweetness on you
in those places in between.
And mercy me this baking
is certainly hard work
I guess I'll have a snack or go quietly beserk.
Now what might I like to eat?
Something spicy, ginger brown, and very sticky sweet!
Come here my spicy ginger man,
let's turn up the cookie heat!
