So very close.....

So close, so very close,
one more minute, hour,
wouldn't matter know how,
but to be so close.
Shinning eyes brought me
to awareness for awhile,
carried me from this
too dull place.
But the something that is me
came out once again,
showed its smile.
The something that
could have been,
left.
So my feet assume
their chosen way
trudging along another
step
and one more...
