Daydreaming
I feel that I have not slept for days,
I keep thinking about you all the time,
I thought if ever you gave me a chance,
I would tell you how much you mean to me.
I thought I would take your hand in mine,
Lift it gently and press it against my cheek,
I would look straight into your eyes,
I would tell you how much you mean to me.
I thought I would fondle your hair,
Hold them dropping on your shoulders,
And slowly pull your forehead towards mine,
I would tell you how much you mean to me.
I am so tired and sleepy now,
I know it’s just daydreaming,
I want to go to sleep in the silence of the night,
And not get up ever to daydream again.
