Gourmet Banana Pudding
(To die for)
Those rich ripe bananas
With just the right texture
Have to be held in place
By long soft lady fingers
Layered and coated by
A rich creamy custard
Topped with meringue
You take those sticky egg
Whites and a kiss of sweet sugar
Beat them stiff
This comes out right on top
Of those lady fingers
Spread it out and peak it
Pop it in your oven and toast
Those peaks ever so slightly
Eaten warm or cold
You will never be the same again
Yes sugar, the apron does say
'Kiss the Cook'
I even have some extra
Ladyfingers just for you
