Breakfast in Bed

It's the little things, that mean so much
A gentle nudge, or a lovers touch

A favor done, with no suggest
An errand run, with no request

The bed made up, when not expected
A little gift , when least suspected

Some chicken soup, when you're feeling ill
A warm embrace, when you have a chill

A meal prepared,  with  T L C
A sandwhich shared,  between you and me

The scent of coffee,  when you open your eyes
Breakfast in bed,  a  yummy surprise

You rub my back,  when yours is sore
Turning me over,  when I start to snore

Tickling my skin, with your feather touch
For hours on end,  I  love it so  much

While you're having a nap,  I wash your car
When I'm feeling weak,  you  open the jar

Trading secrets,   sharing stories
Admitting failures,  sharing  glories

Mowing  the lawn,  now and then
To give you a break, and see you grin

Writing you poems ,  bout  how  I  feel
My heart you stole,  my kisses you steal

Massaging your feet,  when they start to ache
Holding me tight,  when I  start to shake

Kissing my lips ,  when you see me frown
Lifting my spirits, when I'm feeling down

A word of praise,  sincerely said
Fluffing my pillow,  upon my bed

I give to you,  you give to me
We give each other, so much you see

It's the little things that mean so much
A gentle kiss,  a  tender touch
