A child's first step
Frightening yet exciting
Blood rushing
Heart pounding
Wanting to touch the rose
But fearing the thorns
Admiring the bees
But knowing the sting
A virgin to your touch
A nymph next to your cool waters
A sparkle to your eyes
A reason to your heart
For the first time
A rainbow touched me
A cloud lifted me
A star claimed me
The unknown lies before me
Thunder rolls, Lightening flashes
Bravely, I press on
Your lips drive me onward
Sailing to foreign lands
Unchartered seas
Scaling Unclaimed mountains
Flying on nature's wings
Storybook novels with happy endings
Fairytales fed through intravenous dreams
As I climb inside the book
About to live the part
Ready to give my heart
For the First Time
And so my life begins with you
