Heart In the Stars
Looking upon the great darkness
That is illuminated by stars above
I realize you are not that far away
As my heart longs to hold you close
When I shut my eyes you are manifested
into a technicolor dream which makes me long even more
To touch your soft skin and hold you face
Expressing my sesitive touch that caresses your fears
The security you long for is found in my arms
And who am I to hold back my love for you?
Your breathe is so sweet
that as you take in the air that keeps that fragile heart alive
I can feel you pressing upon me even more.
When shall we stare at this massive sky together?
I suppose I shall be satisfied with my dreams
until I shall look upon those crystal eyes
which break my tough appearance to a mush of emotions.
I know that one day we shall gather together
holding each others' heart in our hands
guarding them of the hurt and hatred of such a putrid world.
Let us together give praise and worship to our Father
for supplying a suitor for us both.
This love shall carry on with this commitment
Every time I see you cry
Every time I hear you lie
Every time I hear you laugh
Every time I am with you
I will never leave you or give you up
My dear wife let's travel this long narrow road together
always focusing upon that Light
which illuminates our path ahead.
As for now, go ahead and rest easy
Let your mind be at ease
For I will hold my heart
until the day you come to claim it.
