sail away

sailing in a starry night
to dip my hands deep
into the last of twilight
and cast this net woven
from evening mist
to capture you for
a midnight tryst
on this boat
made strong abeam
with interlocking
planks of loves dream
sealed with heavens bliss
seat  we together
to drink some tea
brewed of sweet nectar
gathered this morn
from fields of clover
dappled in early dew
sweetened with sugar
out of true loves heart
as we talk of life
hope, happiness,
children's laughter,
love's soft caress
