Spackled Delirium

want to climb the wall
crawl out of my skin
pretend I'm a gypsy
fly to Switzerland or Spain
complain about the room service
join a circus
wake up new
glittering with dew, speckled with petals
but I'm a peon so that settles that
maybe I'll find a big vat, drown in delusion
arise shiny not whiny a profusion of orchids
napping on my fettered feet.
