Welcome to the August Blender of Love digest!

It's finally getting hot - at least here in the Northeast - and I think some of this month's picks reflect that in a sultry, melty kind of way.

Despite the typical summer swelter dip in new submissions, the quality remains high, and there was a lot of good stuff sent in last month, reflected here to my right...

As always... read and enjoy!

front page picks

Cursed - RebeccaBeth_88
Diggin' the sensuality and biblical echoes here... works really well!

*The Words To His Song* - ~Harem~
Bit of mystery here.

simply - stephen
A negative space kind of romantic view.

she melted my wax... - jack
Jack often does nice word/image blends, but this work smolders with words alone... yow!

HOT LITTLE NUMBER - Maggie Mink / RennieLorca
Almost a rejoinder to Jack's theme of heat and wax...

Synchronicity - B.K.
Nice sky in this photo/word blend, and a nice thought.

Love Quote and~Einstein ~(My Corgi)~ - B.K.
This month's top-of-the-page quote...

Love's Bond - E.F.G. / Zabette
"Apologetic Ways" sounds like some kind of warning.

how dare you - callaphair
Electronic privacy concerns can be brutal. The antepenultimate stanza (love/hate/indifference) is especially damning.

Value - ladyinwaiting
There's the suggestion of something haunting and sad here.

Everlasting Lively memory - Farah / twisted_lie
Wow. Kind of an open email of a breakup. It sort of bums me out that things can end up like that.

memories - rgpage
Another sexual and sensual piece. The rhyme scheme tries a bit too hard at some places, maybe.

I Went Back - beginagain
Appleby's seems like an odd choice of Sahngri-La, but still, it's the details that make a piece like this work.

Left Behind - Mercy Echenique
Mercy maybe needs to use a lighter touch, and maybe not work for the rhyme so much, but there's a lot of potential here.

estrange - Jane Doe
Elegant little work.

The Kiss That Burns - ItsDanGuy
The joys of hickeys.
