SCENE THREE INT.-Day-A small, empty bar/saloon on Main Street. Tansy is the only patron. She is sitting at the bar drinking a Jack&Coke. The bartender is a Christian Slater lookalike. Christian Slater in "Heathers," not Christian Slater in "Bed of Roses" or "Very Bad Things." His name is Grover. He's wearing a black cowboy shirt with pearly snap buttons. Tansy: Shit, Grover. I might as well join the circus. Grover: You would make a mighty sweet trapeze lady. But I sure would miss counting your freckles. [Tansy lights a cigarette and takes a puff.] Tansy: I almost wish I could love you. Grover: Everybody loves me. I'm the only bartender in town. |
