May you leave in Peace

Where did they all go,
those friends who I held as companions,
Where did they all run too,
as I grew up along beside,
How could they all have disappeared,
transferred somewhere far away,
Am I destined to remain alone,
a friend among one,
a Loner among many,
while all my childhood friends run away
to the same place
and not tell me how to get there....
Where did they all go to?
And When did they leave?
I never saw not one of them saddened,
I never saw not one of the show,
the slightest inkling that something was awry,
the notion of not liking their own home,
Oh How could they all have disappeared,
Oh how Lord, could they all have gone.
My memories of most now,
treased highly above the best,
for the people that were in them,
Have now been laid to rest,
to wander the fields of the realm beyond,
and sing angelic song,
while I am left here, seemingly alone,
The last company of the throng,
Yet I lay and reminisce, about the time we had together,
those happy times,
now seem as they didn't happen,
and the men that I called brothers,
aren't here anymore,
I'm saddened,
Oh How could they have left me here
a stranger in many rights,
they with better jobs,
they with better souls,
they with better sights,
Yet, as so, they've left here,
and gone to somewhere else,
high above the heavens,
and lower than the hells,
To all whom should be reading this now:
FAREWELL!
May we meet again sometime,
when words outweight thought,
when compassion outweights hate,
may we meet again, sometime my friends,
in front of those pearly gates.

In the utmost bond of friendship I need to say my goodbyes,
and I do it this way, which means the most to me,
Fare Far, and never Tarry Long,
May your memory forever be cherished,
And forever sung in song.
