A moment's glance That is all it took To see the streaming tears And pain shone in my face Only a single breath taken in Till I felt your tender embrace For hours it seemed I cried upon your shoulder Your gentle hand reaching up Trying to wipe away the tears But old mistakes have returned Bringing back forgotten fears Babbling words pouring out I struggled to make sense You look on me with such concern Holding my hand even as it trembles so With an open mind and a kind heart You patiently listen to my tale of woe Thank you shall never be enough You cared when no one else would I can only promise I will do the same In me you shall always have a friend Though many miles may separate us This I promise to you, until the end To my Teddy Bear- Words could never say what that day meant to me, but for what it is worth, Thank you |
