Reconciliation (Part II)

At night, the mending is done.
One slight brush (did you feel that?)
of a leg serves as the necessary potion
I swill in hopes to make our damage disappear.
With each kiss I forget the words
(almost as if they are never said)
that render me unable to keep you happy.
From each tender moment we start to remember
(thoughts of lovers who actually loved)
how much we actually need each other.
Will this moment be enough?
Can I give you the same things
you desire when the sun crawls over the ridge?
At night, I am planted in this bed.
At night, I don't see a smile without you.
At night, our reconciliation begins.
