September Morn

   On a cool September dawn
Late summer sun hung hardly born,
I recall images she to me had always portrayed.
   Walking slowly toward my car
An eternity though quite not that far,
Thence beside me, as I had hoped,
   As I had prayed.

A rapid glance, legs toned so sleek,
   Anxious lips to waiting cheek,
Wearing the fragrance she knows I do adore.
   Enchanted now we thus embark
Past Lake Shore Drive, we stop and park,
Like first-time teens we quickly hesitate no more.

   Quiet music fills the air,
   Impassioned longings do we share,
Soft eyes searching, gazing, probing into mine.

My hand cups gently o'er her breast,
My heart races in my chest,
Her touch reply is such I can't help but feel divine.

Brief moments more do we embrace.
As we encounter face to face
Each other's mysteries and fantasies this morn.

But off to work we must agree,
Apart once more she'll be from me,
I feel bereft, alas I'm left - with sad forlorn.
