I held her hand today and I thought of you. We were on our way up these flight of stairs when, I guess, we both reached for each others hands. Before I knew it we were running up the stairs hand-and-hand...a big smile on my face and I could see her hiding a giggle here and there. For a second I thought of you. That second seemed like an eternity. I know, I know, all I did was just hold her hand, but I'm trying to take things slow. You and I just rushed into things at a speed I wasn't used to. And besides holding her hand felt....it felt...it felt good. I loved it. It was like I was suddenly in grade school again and holding a girls hand was like finding the holy grail. Oh and I found the holy grail today....it was in her hands all along. Anyway like I was saying, I was holding her hand today and I thought of you. I thought of you not because I'm still in love with you and holding her hand reminds me of how you used to hold my hand. I thought of you while holding her hand today because I'm over you... I know she's not going to let go. |
