He and I watched the X-men this weekend on HBO. Somewhere in the first few minutes I rememebered our first date. We debated between "What Lies Beneath"- my choice made purely on the basis of Harrison Ford and the X-Men- which won out because it would be more memorable later on down the road. And it was. As I sit and cuddle and talk to him as if nothing is wrong, I am replaying funny first date flirtation through my head. I cross the two moments by making a comment to him that I know I had made to you that first night. He smiles at me fondly, but he doesn't laugh like you did. I know he didn't quite understand... I wonder what I am doing here. |
