Romantic memories

She was standing on the terrace of Fontana's at Bellagio watching the water show, thinking how magical their trip to Las Vegas had been.  Aside from a slight sunburn from laying out at the cabana during the day - everything had been perfect.  She was thinking about how he had woke her up at 2:38 this morning (her birth time) to sing "Come Rain or Come Shine" to her for her birthday and how the entire weekend had been filled with memories she knew she would carry with her for a lifetime.  She felt arms wrap around her waist and a familiar warm tenor voice breath in her ear "You are so Beautiful."  She smiled and leaned back against his chest enjoying the cool breeze and mist from the water show upon her face, the sound of Andrea Bocelli's "Time to Say Good-bye" playing in the background. "You know I love you" He says.  She tried not to think about what she was planning to tell him or how it would break his heart.

"I've thought of a nickname for you - Baby Doll" He says.  "Because you remind me of a porcelain doll, so precious and perfect, I just want to sit and stare at you for hours.  I never want to let anything happen to you."  He pauses, then says thoughtfully  "I wish I could have known you as a child - I'll bet even then you were adorable."  Tears well up in her eyes as she turns around in his arms to look up at him.  He makes it so hard not to fall in love with him. He's everything her girlish heart has ever dreamed of: tall, handsome, intelligent, funny and romantic, but he lacks one quality that she can't live without - the ability and desire to be monogamous.  Trying to ignore his one big flaw, she gazes at him, memorizing every feature.  She marvels at how much he resembles George Clooney right down to the short grey curls at his temples and that charming smile.  "What's wrong baby?" He asks.  She replies by moving up to kiss him, enjoying the feel of his soft lips and his tongue so cool against her own.  She loves how his kisses taste like Blue Sapphire Martinis and Montecristos.  As the kiss begins to deepen and he pulls her closer, she knows within minutes they'll be back in their hotel room crumpling up the sheets that they left in disarray only hours before.  His breath ragged he whispers in her ear "Let's get out of here.  I'm dying to get you out of that gown." As he takes her by the hand and leads her back inside, she stops and says innocently "Again?"  "Don't tease me woman" He grumbles as he pulls her close and presses her hand against the hard bulge of his pants "See what you do to me?  I need you - NOW."  She grins at him knowingly, forgetting all about her thoughts just minutes ago.  They sneak out of the party back  to their hotel room at Mandalay Bay, neither one aware that in a few short hours a tragic nightmare would ensue that will scar both their lives forever...
