Not a good day But still we smile Stress and issues Things in life that we must handle "Put your shoes on, We are leaving." "Where are we going?" "Don't worry about it" We get in the car And drive away First the bank Then Kroger Last stop Old National Too bad it is already closed We keep on driving A new part of town A side I have never seen You smiling Talking Telling jokes and childhood dreams We pull into the lot Order our glacier delights Oreo for you Butterfinger for me But what does it matter We feed and share with one another Now to the park Watching people, children, and dogs You and I Fixing the light Fixing the long day's problems Home? Not yet The computer lab We go together Time for me to register for classes The task at hand done You playing chess Me writing letters I love being with you All day and all night Back home again Home again A movie and dinner The dinner delicious The movie however...not so Licking the ear Leading to the bedroom Turn the lights out Early to bed Early to rise I loved it Every moment The evening we spent It all just began With a small cup of Ritter's |
