You'd Think I'd Be Happier

Of muddy paths, and ginger hair,
And long lost loves, With longing stares,
Of these things I choose to write,
Because they took my strength, my worth, my might.

Of flying lessons, and talking geese,
And boating sheds, and that jacket of fleece,
Of pineapple juice, and mobile phones,
And mommy ringing to call you home.

And japanese dogs, and window cleaning,
And saying things which have no meaning,
eg, I love you, to name but one,
Of all these things which now have gone.

No more talk of training, or gyms,
Pokemon (i kid you not), or Manga films,
I've never had to see another Dragon Ball Z,
Cus these all went when you left me.

Of all this mentioned, you'd think I'm happier without,
But you'd be wrong, there is no doubt,
That although I hated almost every last thing,
I still hope it's you when I hear the phone ring.
