How does it feel Tell me The way you feel now That is how you made her feel What goes around comes around Isn't that what they say You broke her And now, months later you are breaking You were so cold then You cared less how you made her feel But now you seem so alone Like you need something Did you ever stop to think That this same thing You did to another heart It isn't fun is it I was beside her I watched her hurt I watched her cry She tried to be strong She tried to hide the pain What you did to her You didn't see You weren't around to see Her friends and I Her family We looked on We watched her bleed But we could do nothing You had broken her heart You had beaten her spirit She is fine now Two feet on the ground Still searching But she healed and is stronger the ever Now I am reading your poetry Reading as you bleed I don't get it What happend to the cold hearted you I am not mad at you I don't hate you I wish I could have saved you from all this But you wouldn't have listened You had something great A woman that wouldn't have hurt you She would have died for you And in a way she did You will be fine You always have been You have always made it Quit hiding All those secrets All those past memories Live for who you really are Learn from you mistakes And quit blaming the past And the people in your past Chin up You will be fine Listen to the songs again The songs of yesterday "Can you take me higher" |
