A Little Sip of Me

Seduction is never simple,
But I'm more than willing
To take the chance,
To risk a dance--
But only if I can lead.
I don't wear white for a reason,
It just never was my color,
It never was my thing,
And all this pretty little innocence,
Isn't necessarily reality,
But you'll just have to wait,
And find out for yourself,
Now won't you?
I wear pretty dresses
And high heels,
With lipstick to match,
Redder than the caution signs
Passing you by,
On this highway I brought you too--
I'm sorry to say,
I'm sorry to be the one to tell you,
I'm more dangerous than I look,
And the truth is,
I should really come with a warning label,
And a Bible-thick packet of instructions,
"Caution: Handle with Care--she bites,
But only if you want her to."
Am I really surprising you?
Couldn't you see it in my eyes?
Or are you that blindly ignorant,
That you assumed pure friendship
Was the only thing on my mind?
I could laugh not-so-politely
At your precious shock,
But I won't do you that discourtesy--
But why don't you let me hold your hand?
I promise that I'll behave myself,
To the best of my ability, that is.
Sweet smiles
By imitation only,
Wicked grins
By situation or request,
I'm not your Ordinary Girl,
I'm  not your Everyday Angel,
But you've let this Beauty fool you,
You silly, silly boy--
Well, now at least you see through me,
But you may just like what you see,
And the first kiss or two,
Those are for free.
Why don't you let me,
Why don't you let me,
It won't do you any immediate harm,
It's just a bit of lip service,
And I promise to be gentle,
For a while at least,
Because proper passion takes some time.
You thought you knew,
But you didn't,
And now your head is spinning,
Reeling,
All rationality is dimming,
And I guess you're a little intoxicated,
By that tiny little sip of me
That you had willingly partook of--
But it's kind of funny,
Because I wouldn't have taken you to be
So easily swayed--
But baby,
While we're on the subject of swaying,
How 'bout that dance?
