DREAM LOVER TWO

I realize that I am finally
lost to any reality
with this dream lover.

You have wrapped yourself
around me, cool not warm,
I think for a fleeting moment.

What is more disconcerting,
is the faint feel of a tail
wrapped around my ankle.

Who have I chosen for a lover,
or what has chosen me?
Then the dream heightens.

I struggle to come awake,
and in terror realize
I was never sleeping.

But you smile, and I am
too willingly
drawn to you again.
