MY UNICORN: Tapestry

MY UNICORN: Tapestry

There are some beautiful ancient unicorn tapestry works that have fascinated me for some time. I was always interested in Pegasus. But I was drawn in looking at these unicorn works often until I had unicorn dreams. As Poe wrote, "a dream within a dream" at times for me. Here is a peak at a few of those:

TAPESTRY . . . drawn in

Snared once more in simple ways,
A need for comfort, a touch so real.
Just like the cloth and all its frays,
Forget the danger ... enjoy the feel.

TAPESTRY . . . come learn and sing

I speak to you of the Unicorn,
No longer mythical, you see it is true.
He's waited in time before you were born.
Come hither and see he needs you.

This wondrous, beautiful creature with horn,
Only seen by a privileged innocent few.
This lovely, delightful, luxurious form,
Come learn what he wants of you.

TAPESTRY ... Each Thread In Reflection

Maybe a wish ... but how did it begin?
And did your eyes gleam?
Loose thoughts raced to you ... a sin?
You in my deja vu dream.

Look again, this search for the Unicorn,
Not maybe, not later, not wrong.
Proper soul on a quest, no longer torn.
My wish, your command all along.

TAPESTRY . . . Mending It On The Wall

I stood, wept and surveyed the damage,
Of a passionate and careless moment.
Long looks now to pay you homage,
Not to think of our recent torment.

I thought of mending this at the wall,
That I must let some boundaries fall.
I realize I must caress and cradle you.
Chances at love again are just too few.
