you hug me softly i hide the shudder that just made a ripple throughtout my spine you smile and say hello and i lose myself in time i smile back and hide my love for you. you ask how the party has been so far i say fine fine because you're here now i think to myself great you say as you walk away to make small talk with strangers and friends alike. i pretend to be interested in the girl who thinks she's holding my attention with a conversation about her cat as i watch you from afar. oh great now you're talking with him oh there goes that smile...that smile that spilts my soul in two. that guy who gets to grasp that beatiful hand of yours has no idea how lucky he is. i have never wanted to be anyone else until you fell for him...and not me. oh if you only knew! how much i want to be with you. how i crave for your time. how..i...how...i.....love you. but you'll never know because you're my best friend and so is he |
