There was a time when I loved you more than I loved myself There was a time when the sound of your voice was all I needed to smile There was a time when you loved me too When the world felt young and my own ignorance felt like inteligence but those feelings are gone erased by time I no longer need you or want you I no longer love you either but I do miss you I miss the person I used to call my friend I miss feeling safe in knowing I could retreat to the touch of your hand to my face to make here go away I miss loving you but perhaps it is the person that I fell in love with I miss the most The world changes and so do people love takes on different hues different colors different flavors we just didn't know how to change fate guided me to you and it is fate that has taken you away I still know where to find you how to reach you but I leave you alone because I lost you a long time ago There was a time when I loved you more than I loved myself but those feelings are gone erased by time but I miss you. |
