Flipping through the memories of your baby book although you are still only a toddler I came across the page noted as "Letter from A Parent." How am I supposed to write a one-page letter to you telling you my thoughts love goals feelings for you? I wouldn't know where to begin and I wouldn't know where to end. How would I distinguish what to write to you and your brother? I wouldn't want to write you both the same letter. You may be twins but you are two different individuals. How do these baby book companies expect a parent to write a one-page love letter to their child? They should leave many, many blank pages in the back. If I were to write you a letter, it would never end. I could start it now and add on through the years and you could pick it up when you read my Will. I love you. I love you more than life itself more than anything in the universe more than you or anyone else could ever imagine I would die for you for your happiness you are my whole existence the whole reason I live the whole purpose of my being before your father and I had you and your brother, I never really worried about things that could happen to me now, I can't help but worry about every little detail of your life, your brother's life, your father's life, my life. I want to be around to watch you grow, to teach you, to guide you, to give you all the love in the world to brighten your day when you're sad to support you and cry over your accomplishments to meet the love of your life and watch you make her your wife but, only if that's what you choose to watch you bring your own child into this world and love him or her the way I love you to meet my grandchildren and to know that at that very moment you'll understand that I feel all the love in the world for you and that there is absolutely no way that I could ever write a one-page letter to you in your baby book. There's just too much to say and so much love for you. I'll love you with all of my heart, more than anything in the world, for all of eternity. Nothing in this world could bring me more joy than you. |
