| In my local watering hole today I stood at the bar and an old gent walked in he,s about 80 years old,a regular there, a character.He started talking about events from 60 years ago and could recall names and places as if they were from yesterday.It got me thinking about life,loves,everyday stuff.We think we forget people ,places, but they are all filed away up there.As much as we would like to forget some people and events in our lives we never will totally.For now some things have been cast into archive folders,where lets face it we never really look again.Really we should put them into the recycle bin but we get the message do you really want to delete this item and would we ever say YES ,hmmm don,t think so.So the loves both good and bad we have met along the way are still on our system somewhere along with the faces and names,we can upgrade as often as we like but they will still be there.I,m going to grow old with a memory of someone that makes me smile yet also brings the tears,and despite the regret and hurt felt through the years I don,t think I would change it.Would you? |
