You with your gentle eyes
   piercing like daggers
   seeing through to my core
And silently laughing
Naked, I've shown myself to you
   bared my soul
And all you could do was
shrug and say
"yeah I guess I dig you too"
Your words sting my ears
   and burn my heart
With a forced smile
I muster a "thanks"
   and try to convince myself that
