Your face haunts me like a shriek in the night. Tears fall down as if to mock my situation. The fire that you have created for your safety blanket leaves me in despair, but full of hope. You are just out of my reach, so close, yet still so far. I am humbled and left faceless in your presence, but I know you see me grasping for strength. You are my sun, and you are taking my soul; You steal everything, leaving me alone and bare. I am falling into darkness and floating to life, I see nothing left below me and my body grows weak. Darkness is the only thing that you have offered me, and hatred the only thing I have learned from you. I'll be happy in this place you have condemned me to, where there are people all aroung just like me. And I hope you will be happy in your quest for love, in a place where everyone possesses two faces. |
