Let's cry tonight. Let's leave the world alone for awhile, and create our own. We're to sad to say goodbye and we're to hurt to scream. But for one moment, lets just cry. I'll hold you for a minute, for an hour, for a night, while your arms are weak. I'll hold your head, when it tumbles onto your chest. So who said it was fair, baby. Who said the world wouldn't hurt us one day. Who said it wouldn't kick us while we are down. Nobody. But we find a little sanctuary, and we find a little peace in this life we have tonight. Let's believe in angels tonight. Lets dream of ephemeral and gossamer, and hope. Hope that small little flower that grows on the urban waste. Lets believe that there is more than anger and there is more hate. Lets remember that love and warmth we felt when we were small. When life was good, and cookies had a table and a glass of milk waiting when we came home. When life was a blanket we fell asleep on late at night on the sofa, with the TV on. So lets believe in angels tonight, and believe they are hope and memories. And little more than a child like smile. So let's scream of love!!! Lets shout it as loud as we can, and make people look and listen when we speak! lets tell them about hearts breaking, lets tell them about time changing, and lets tell them about the good they can do. But lets scream of love! How can they not know this one blessed gift could change it all? When the nights are too long, and the thoughts aren't too strong, and the morning fades into a distant memory! Then there is love! |
