That one moment lurks in the back of my mind, never to dissapear until proven uneventful. One act of the heat of the moment, threatening to ruin my life forever. What would I do if that one mistake, that one lapse in semi-rational judgement grabbed 'hold of my future, never to let go? How many tears would fall from the faces of those involved? So many, both of dissapointment, sadness and anger, yet never enought tears to make the reality go away. Lessons were learned that day, and were even set as a precaution in the past, obiously not heeded. Millions of opologies and explanations would never be able to scrub the black mark of shame off their hearts. |
