A Gift That Never Dies

Your hands sweep over me
a breeze against silk
in the cool night air

Your eyes dance on my skin
unsure if seduction
is a golden road or another dead end

My body,
a convex surface
to the ravenous fire of your fingers;
A constant, rhythmic thumping maintains its residence
This assertive lust ties my hands
Until manic, rocking force to consume ensues

An urgent, almost primal, desire
to devour you like the meal
of a man lost, but now found

Envelop my life with the expanse of your love
As stars in an empyrean dusk;
I need no stars to fall
When no wish shines brighter than you
I need only hold you forever
Dismissing all the lies and doubt
and nurturing all the truth throughout

You are a visitor from heaven
and it is for you I close my eyes
Anxious to hear the voice of angels
whispering a gift that never dies.
