Lousiana

I picture lousiana to be a quiet place where crickets chirp at the hanging trees extending to reach a ground wet and cold while the air smells of a morning dew perspiring the beads on long blades of grass. The moon parts a puff cotton dark skies and there lies inside a room lighted by candles a girl with the quiet intentions of the morning after yet so loud is her head that it keeps her awake thinking of him thinking of when...praying for the second hand to ring the time of a brighter day where she will be the queen, his queen, his majestic heart that beats in his chest keeping him alive not hurting the soul that they share with the breath of air that continues the process over and over and over...I miss the summer nights in Monroe...I wish i brought a camera when I was there. The black and white stills can capture decades after decade of stories overlapping memories...I can smell you there reaching for me, taking my hand...a ghost to my own memories.
