I'm getting married and I have a dress that looks like it just walked off a Vera Wang runway and I rented a tent for my reception. Can you believe that? I'm getting married in a giant white tent. And I have these amazing shoes that I bought for $500 and I thought, what the hell? It's for my wedding anyway. But that's the thing that bothers me the most. When I was with you, I would have gladly followed you to the nearest beach and you would get one of your buddies to officiate and I'd wear a sarong and flip flops and we'd drink pina coladas all day long And we'd kiss in the shadow of mango trees. But you broke my heart and I'm marrying someone that isn't you. And I'm going to have the wedding that I've never dreamed of. I'm going to wear a gown that's too big with shoes that are too expensive under a tent with too much flowers. And we're serving champagne because who the hell wants to drink pina coladas at a wedding? Well I did. And so did you.. |
