I've had this feeling for awhile, you know- love. I was sitting with a girlfriend last night, Scheming of ways to connive you into saying the words back to me And we came up with this grandiose plan, Short of hiring a skywriter to spell it out for you. But earlier this evening, as I was watching your profile, With the soft lavender hue of the television playing on your skin, The words slipped it out of my mouth. And before I could slap the confession away, I blurted "Fuck it. I think I'm in love with you." And you looked at me slowly and for one heartbreaking moment, I thought you weren't going to say it back. But you kissed me And I kissed you. Then right there, as we took a break from watching the Teen Choice Awards, We said I love you for the very first time. My plan will go to waste. My skywriter will remain unemployed. As for us? Fuck everyone. We're in love. |
