Dog Ear Blues (XXX XVIII)

Inversion; shared me a roadhouse Manichean exchange with Marlboroed savant and Black Jack priest,
Both revealed an underappreciated, everyday gospel lay bare nirvana of a Miss Mountains to our East.
A once-phenomenon, shockin' no mo', was them trajectories lonely explorers took to seek out respect,
They a-wound, 'round and 'round, slightly tiltheaded tribalchanters in a testosterohomage, totems erect.
But no sword eviscerates a boy quite as deliciously as she who's actin' coy; intimidation wasn't her half,
Lockdoor stare and dismissive shake of her head was all she ever required; we won't mention the laugh.

Fascination, yes indeed, for I'd not seen such a predator feed upon lacks of self-respect since 'twas I one,
Takes more'n catchphrases and whiskey to trap her and you ain't quite two hands long or bulletproof, son.
You gettin' none if she givin' nun; it's a dirty ol' habit we pursue, think gates'll part at presentation of arms,
And it's an ugly spectacle when hens trade off some cock for better specimens of donkey from other farms.
Most wolves think they snag the sheep for its shag when she's asleep; damn shame, they're usually awake,
One-huff wham, two-puff bam an' she's whacked your balls for a grand slam; how much more can you take?

Wanna learn about how it's gonna turn out, watch man's best friend, that perkeared atmospheric canine seer,
Past their bark and their bite, the acuity of the portals aside their heads read radar right when threats appear.
They'll stand and stare down them stray kitties that wrongcross their path, first growlin' low but waitin' to see,
Whether they should get into lowdown showdown with aggressive pussies or merely chase 'em up into a tree.
Meow, maybe; if she's into bow-wow, baby, it gets mighty interestin' if fur flies when it's rainin' cats and dogs,
An' it makes a man ask himself the question: How well will her kiss tell once she gets tired of vivisecting frogs?
