we aren't much different but nothing alike the contradictions are like day and night i say i'm okay as you say you are fine while you toast your beer mug to my glass of wine what puzzles you becomes my unanswered prayers my eyes dart around while yours often stares our perspectives often blend to form alike your ideal world ignites my real life as hard as we try doesn't make it just so i'm here and there while you are on the go as mixed up as sometimes it often seems somehow we come together and focus on our dreams how we stay connected has questioned many we've had our ups, plus our downs have been plenty we ask ourselves, "should i stay or should i go?" why we stay together, only God knows |
