Ignorance

      Ignorance
        by Sarah Elizabeth Hume

How little we know of simple life and love,
woven in silver strands of mesh.
  Celestial dustings peering through,
fashioned in code of subtle flame.

  Candles spark in dancing wind,
  steady patterns amongst ebony fields.
  Fleeting stars in motionless flight.
  Pages unclothed in disregarded secret.

  For flesh and blood,
  they can not read.
