Axis

Axis

The world turned on it’s axis in some dimension,
Leaving me in a new one I couldn’t define.
I struggle to take hold of this new confusion,
I’ve lost my world of love in time.

Some twisted, warped, confused dimension,
Friends happy in what was never theirs,
Enemies given laurels of profession,
Children yoked with parent’s despair.

Turned now the world on its pin.
Lover’s lie and betray themselves,
Betray the good, embracing sin.
Childhood’s sigh and dream on shelves.

Darkness rides my dreams and thoughts,
Sorrow’s veiled drapes are drawn,
In deeds and acts and lover’s draughts,
Satan laughs and tricks his pawns.

Claw I will and persevere through this,
The world ,the reality, I cannot bear.
I yearn for life’s one passionate kiss,
A life of love and hope to share.
