Alone My mind is restless tonight restless but content the raging thunderstorms an answered prayer alone in the darkness I watch the flickering candle as it cast soft shadows against the spot where you once slept my fingertips brush across the shadow remembering the way your skin felt the way your body responded to my touch and the scent of love deep breath a dream whose purpose I never knew continues to linger deep breath your imagine occasionally drops from the moonlit sky and leaves with the darkness taking fragments of me with it |
