Your Winter

  How softly settles your cold
like silent snow coating a moonlit grave.
It came as suddenly as the shadows of night,
without a hint of footstep before all the land
   is darkened.

Now my skin too is settled
with a thin sheet of ice,
  covered in your winter,
   a frosted whisper,
   a frigid gaze,
your hand could freeze the sun.

Oh, bind me in your golden threads once more,
sweep me in pools of warm silver dipped stars.

A hint of warmth,
  a touch of ember,
  a kiss of firefly,
bless me in flame or the grave
is where I am soon to lie.

Then all earth shall close around me
  a frozen solid casket.
where not even a single candle can reach...
