The Seljuk

Deep blue eyes on caramel Seljuk skin
a smile revealing angel soul within
a face from Plato's world of perfect form
curly whisps, a lover from Apollo torn
The stolen lips of Venus on your face
And Aphrodite's cloned and female grace

That instant, terror pounced, devoured me
When I first set mine eyes on thee
the fear that curse of this reality
might not let us spend, we, you, me
ever moment together, free
every second from now till then
the end, the end of this complexity

And plus the terror even more
that I must approach thee, and implore
and show myself to you my grace
my undeserving human face
And hope somehow that you would see
the true eternal love in me.

And you said yes and buttons flew
You ravaged me with kisses' dew

You were consumption to my heart
Its crime that fate forced us apart
