Stating facts

Yes/No questions we seldom ask ourselves yet we know exactly what the answers are, and yet we always want further persuasion and explanation.

Example (1):
X : what do you think? Should I go for it?
Y: "Yes!"…
X: "But why?"

Example (2):

X: what do you think? Should I go for it?
Y: "No!"
X: "Why not?!"

It is our nature; human beings are curious creatures, even when the questions don’t particularly concern us, we love to gossip, God forbid we are not up to speed with the latest news; they got divorced, she lives abroad, he got his PHD….etc.
Gosh!  And I can't help but wonder why this is the highlight of someone's day, what ever happened to smart conversation? A meaningful one?
They say life is progressive, I wonder what the coming generations will do when they inherit our "he said/ she said" history.
And I hope they weren't mistaken when they called it "history".
I can't help but feel sad about our present situation, the one that will be passed on to our youngsters, the present that I so hope will be in the pages of  the past tomorrow.
