Shreds of You As I sit and ponder Only to wonder Why you did what you did? Leaving me so young, With only memories of our love, As I sit and ponder What did you do to me? Your friend has joined you the other day, In a sudden heart attack admist the fray, Only to wonder, was he the same way? You laughed and joked with your friend, About the simple things you did that day, But I knew way back when, that those words Were only a means to take you away from me, To fantasize what you really wished to say, How hard it was for you to whisper, "I love you!"
