Missing piece

As a child I loved jigsaws, twelve or twenty hand sized pieces of compressed wood that created colourful pictures of toy boats on the water or balloons floating into the sky.As I got older the pieces changed to thumbnail size and numbers climbed to two or three hundred and the pictures created though still beautiful were more complex. Our lives are easy to compare to jigsaws. As kids the corners and straight edges our mom and dad help us with.Up to the teen years we struggle with the sky and clouds but work them out.Teens to twenty the tree branches and falling leaves give us major problems and often we try to force pieces where they don,t go.Into the twenties we see the remaining pieces dwindle and our passion to complete the picture has given us the sky, trees, leaves and park bench. And there you sit, your arms wrapped around the missing piece.
